On September 22nd, the Lisa Meyers Audet Foundation made an incredibly generous donation to Charles W. Longer Elementary School in Hollidaysburg. But wait, it gets better! The foundation included an extra $500 stipend to fill the machine with amazing reads.

A Heartfelt Tribute to Lisa Meyers Audet

This foundation was created to honor the memory of Lisa Meyers Audet. Audet had a special connection to C.W. Longer Elementary School. In fact, Lisa and all her siblings attended the school. So, what better way to pay tribute than by sharing her love of reading with the students of her alma mater?

Earning Books with Golden Tiger Traits

So, here’s how it works. Students at C.W. Longer can earn a special token to use in the book vending machine. All they have to do is demonstrate the Golden Tiger traits of citizenship, integrity, perseverance, communication, adaptability, or analytical thinking. It’s like a mini treasure hunt. But instead of searching for gold, they’re on the hunt for incredible books.

Turning Reading into a Rewarding Adventure

With the addition of Inchy’s Bookworm Vending Machine, every walk down the hall becomes an exciting chance to discover a new world within the pages of a book. And thanks to the extra $500 stipend, the choices are going to be even more diverse. Readers of every interest and level will find something to excite them.

So, kudos to the Lisa Meyers Audet Foundation for turning learning into a rewarding adventure. This fantastic initiative is making reading even more fun and accessible for the students of C.W. Longer Elementary School. Who knew that getting your hands on a fantastic read could be as simple as earning a token? The Lisa Meyers Audet Foundation, that’s who!
