Hello, dear readers! Today, we’ve got a heartwarming tale straight from Almont Middle School. A magical contraption called Inchy’s Bookworm Vending Machine has been making waves. Imagine starting your school day with a surprise book delivery – that’s the kind of enchantment we’re talking about!

Special Thanks To Four County Community Foundation

This marvelous machine, funded by the fantastic folks at the Four County Community Foundation, has been the talk of the town. Jay Zieglowsky, the dean of students at Almont Middle School, tells us that the excitement among the students is off the charts!

The Four County Community Foundation not only provided the funds to purchase this marvelous machine but also chipped in to buy an entire treasure trove of books to fill it up. Zieglowsky is thrilled to report that thanks to their generosity, the school’s Bookworm Vending Machine is now loaded with nearly 300 fabulous reads.

Good behavior+Tokens=Free Books!

Now, you might be wondering, how does one go about snagging a book from this literary wonderland? Well, it’s all about earning some tokens, and here’s where the real fun begins! Students at Almont Middle School get to collect these tokens through their PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) system. It’s like being rewarded for being awesome!

As Zieglowsky puts it, “Students at Almont Middle School earn R.O.C.K. Tickets for meeting our R.O.C.K. expectations (Respect, Ownership, Compassion, Knowledge).” Once they’ve gathered a few of these R.O.C.K. Tickets, they can exchange them for a magical token that unlocks the Bookworm Vending Machine.

Almont Middle School Meets Inchy’s Bookworm Vending Machine!

Just picture it: a student walks up to Inchy’s Bookworm Vending Machine, pops in a token, and voila! A brand-new adventure awaits them inside the pages of a book. It’s like having a secret doorway to the world of stories right in the heart of their school.

So there you have it, folks – the heartwarming story of Inchy’s Bookworm Vending Machine, where books are as easy to come by as snacks from a vending machine. Thanks to the generosity of the Four County Community Foundation and the positive behavior of Almont Middle School’s students, a love for reading is popping up all over the place.
