The Robert Mitchell Elementary School celebrated the unveiling of its newest book vending machine on Tuesday, February 7th, at 11 a.m. during a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The Grand Sierra Resort generously donated the machine, making it the latest in a series of contributions the property has made to the school over the past four years. The cumulative value of these donations is nearly $30,000, which has been used for various projects, meal donations, and more.

The new book vending machine will be stocked with books that students can take home and add to their personal libraries. They will earn tokens for academic achievements such as perfect attendance or good grades throughout the school year, which they can then use to select the books they want.
