What Is Inchy’s Bookworm Vending Machine?

Erin Gregg, Executive Director of Communications, announced Ramirez Elementary as the first school in the district to welcoime Inchy’s Bookworm Vending Machine.

Inchy’s Bookworm Vending Machine builds students’ home libraries by providing free and equitable access to books. Students earn a gold token through academic achievements or good behavior. The token is used to vend a free book!

Deanna Moore, Library Media Specialist, helped bring this innovation to Ramirez Elementary. Awarded funds from a foundation, Moore’s creative thinking led her to the book vending machine. She appreciated that it provides students with a unique and engaging way to access new reading material.
